Cashmere Care Instructions
1. Do Not Spot Clean
Avoid rubbing or applying water directly to stains. Cashmere fibers are delicate and may lose their softness if treated harshly.
2. Wash Gently
- Wash sparingly but regularly to maintain softness
- Turn the garment inside out.
- Select the wool/silk or delicate programme with cold water.
- Choose a very gentle spin (maximum 300 rpm) or no spin.
- Use a wool or cashmere shampoo, never fabric softener.
- For added protection, place the garment in a pillowcase or laundry bag.
3. Dry Properly
- Always dry cashmere flat on a towel, reshaping while damp.
- Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Never hang to dry, and never tumble dry.
4. Important Note on Texture
- It is normal for cashmere to produce small lint or pills, which decrease after a few washes.
- Remove lint gently by hand, with a cashmere comb, or an anti-lint razor.
- To comb: lay the garment flat and lightly brush over the surface without pulling.
- If damage occurs, take it to a professional invisible mender.
5. Storage
- Fold cashmere garments flat, never hang.
- Store in a breathable canvas cover to protect against dust and moths.
Eco Note
To refresh between washes, air your garment outdoors or in a steamy bathroom. Before storing, spray lightly with a cashmere spray to keep it fresh over time.
